She was shocked and upset.<\/p>\n<p>She thinks he had been there for at least an hour.<\/p>\n<p>Following Teresa\u2019s call to 911, the police quickly confirmed that he had died.<\/p>\n<p>The police treated Teresa\u2019s death as a \u201ccrime scene\u201d yesterday, but she wasn\u2019t arrested. Teresa had been his partner for 36 years and was very upset.<\/p>\n<p>She was later able to say goodbye and spray his body with his favorite aftershave.<\/p>\n<p>When they first saw that he had fallen out of the window, Teresa said, \u201cThey thought I might have killed him.<\/p>\n<p>That really was a freak accident.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere wasn\u2019t a fight, and I hadn\u2019t hit him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Honeybun the cat got her head stuck, and he pushed the window up. He lost his balance, and he fell out onto the patio.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs he fell five feet, he broke the roses on the wall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was told that the blow to the back of the head on the concrete would have killed him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe might have been there for an hour or an hour and a half.\u201d He was pale and cold.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI put a pillow under his head.\u201d I called 999 and told them my partner had an accident.<\/p>\n<p>The ambulance and police arrived in seven minutes. A woman who worked for the police told me he was dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA police officer said death happened right away. It was seen as a crime by the police.<\/p>\n<p>After the tragedy late Sunday night, she called his daughter Lady Kathryn Brudenell Bruce, who ran to the scene.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t go to the bathroom by myself; Lady Kathryn and I had to spend the whole night in an armchair in the drawing room.\u201d There was nowhere else we could go.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPolice were there all night and all day the next day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter three hours, a police forensic team of six men and women dressed in all white showed up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen more came; at one point there were 21 of them here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since they moved out of his house in Savernake Forest 14 years ago, they had lived there all the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was very skinny.\u201d He had Alzheimer\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter that, I used his favorite aftershave on him.\u201d It\u2019s a mystery how I did it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt hurt my feelings. It took me thirty minutes.
